Black Bulls:

Asta

A boy who was abandoned as a baby in front of the church in the village of Hage, in the furthest reaches of the country.
He is idiotic, hot-blooded and a daredevil.

His dreams are to become the “Wizard King”, the head of the Magic Knights, and to marry Lily, a sister of the church!
In a world where everyone can use magic, he is a rare being who somehow has no magical powers at all.

He has a “five-leafed clover grimoire”, which is where the devil dwells, although he is unaware of it.
He fights his enemies using his trained physical strength, a persistent mind, and a sword that can negate and deflect magic.

Noelle Silva

The youngest daughter of the royal Silva family.
Although she was born with great power, she struggles to control it and often unleashes it in the wrong direction.

Because her other siblings are superior, she is despised by her family as a ‘failure’, and this has become the source of a complex for her.

She has a friendly personality, but as she struggles to express her true thoughts, she can often come off as being obnoxious and is prone to misunderstandings.
The one person she constantly worries about is Asta, who is is stupid but straightforward. But she still can’t be honest towards him.

Yami Sukehiro

A foreigner from the eastern lands. He analyzes his opponent’s ki, and then goes into combat using his brutish physical strength and his magical sword.

He joined a Magic Knights Squad through the recommendation of the current Wizard King Julius Novachrono, and eventually became a captain who Julius deeply trusts.

Although he can be harsh towards his squad, telling them to “Surpass your limits!” and forces them to go to extremes.
However, when push comes to shove, he is a dependable man and is highly trusted.

Magna Swing

Like Asta, he is from the village of Rayaka, a rural area far from the royal capital.
He is a thug in appearance and character, but he is kind to the weak and needy and takes good care of his juniors.

He calls himself the “first apprentice” and admires Yami as “the man among men”.
He and Luck, also a member of the “Black Bulls”, often play with each other (or do they?)

Luck Voltia

A mage born in the Common Realm with similar magic power and sense to those of a noble, a battle maniac.
He loves to fight tough opponents and becomes stronger by battling them.

Raised by his mother, the only member of his family, he has a broken personality, probably as his mother always told him to “win” and “become stronger,” so it became his motive twisting him in the process.

Charmy Pappitson

Owner of an insatiable appetite. She always gets delicious meals from the “Sheep Cook” she creates using her Cotton Magic.
She seems to possess considerable power, as she unleashes tremendous magical power when it comes to food.

Vanessa Enoteca

A witch who enjoys drinking and always suffers from her hangover.
A wielder of Thread Magic controls mana fluently with a lax attitude. However, she takes care of her team well.

She used to live in the enclosed “The Forest of the Witches,” but one day, she met Yami, and his words moved her heart.
She rebelled against the “The Queen of Witches” who governed the forest, and ventured out into the outside world

Finral Roulacase

As a user of spatial magic, Finral can manipulate the opening and closing of of s spaces in visible or familiar locations.
Even though spatial magic is a rare attribute, he is used as Yami’s “mule”, using it mostly to bring Yami to different places as a
means of transportation rather than for combat.

He is soft and a womanizer.
Although born as the eldest son of a prestigious family that uses offensive spatial magic, he is not skilled in fighting and lacks stamina.

Gauche Adlai

A member of the “Black Bulls” who loves his younger sister way too much.
When it comes to his younger sister Marie, he often loses his rationality.

With his outstanding amount of mana, he wields Mirror Magic.
Born into a noble Adlai family, however, he was kicked out of his home after his parent’s tragic death.

He committed petty crimes such as stealing to survive and went to prison.
After that, he managed to sneak out and run.
During that time, he met Yami.

Gordon Agrippa

A member of the Black Bulls with a shady and a somewhat dangerous-looking figure, always muttering to himself.
Although he always mumbles to the point where others can’t understand him, suffering from extreme communication problems, he’s a softy at heart who earnestly wants to be friends with the rest of “Black Bulls.”

Golden Dawn:

Yuno

As a baby, he was abandoned alongside Asta in front of the Hage Village church.
To this day, he still wears the rare stone pendant he carried with him when he was abandoned.

Asta is his life- life-long rival, and together they aim to become the “Wizard King” (top of the Magic Knights).
He has a calm but competitive personality with a hidden fighting spirit.

He occasionally speaks insolently and with a sharp tongue.
He is a gifted mage with a perfect sense of humor and a great deal of magical power.

He possesses exceptional power, chosen by both the Wind Spirit and the Four-Leaf Clover, which was once granted to the first Wizard King.

William Vangeance

Captain of the “Golden Dawn,” which is known to be the best squad among them.
Despite giving off a mysterious vibe, he has earned the trust of everyone in his squad and is a strong candidate for the next Wizard King.
As a bastard of a noble, he was raised by the family which had no heir.

Unfortunately, his stepmother’s cold treatment towards him left him with unpleasant memories.
After meeting Julius, he was offered the position of a Magic Knight and accepted.

Mimosa Vermillion

Noelle’s cousin. Her mother is sister to Noelle’s deceased mother, who became a member of the Silva family.
Through her father, she can claim to be the cousin of Fuegoleon, the Captain of the “Crimson Lion Kings.”

She is calm and unreliable at first glance, but is surprisingly firm.
She says rude things to others without realizing it, and is secretly called “naive” by those around her.
She specializes in recovery magic based on her vast magic power.

Klaus Lunettes

As the superior to Yuno, he is in charge of mentoring new members of the Golden Dawn.
Although he has a hot-headed personality and takes things much too seriously, he has a lot of respect for his captain,
William Vangeance.

He held a high sense of elitism for being a member of the Golden Dawn, and looked down on Asta and Yuno for being peasants from a backwater village.

Alecdora Sandler

He is highly loyal to Vangeance, the leader of the Golden Dawn, as he rescued Alecdora when he was on the brink of death.
A diligent figure always does his best for the mission and throws himself for the sake of his squad.

Shiren Tium

Although often misunderstood due to his quiet personality, he is a diligent mage.
Not only is he able to perform an attack that covers a wide area, but he can also create a 3D replica of an area and its surroundings.
Like this, his magic is both grand but detailed.

Silver Eagles:

Nozel Silva

The Captain of the Silver Eagles and the eldest son of the royal Silva family.
He has a lot of self-pride and is strict to others and himself.

Despite Noelle being the last remnant of their mother, he gives a cold shoulder to her due to her lack of skill.
From a young age, he has strongly considered Fuegoleon, the captain of the Crimson Lion Kings, as a worthy rival.

Solid Silva

He is the second son of the Silva family and Noelle’s older brother.
He takes pride in his noble lineage and his own high abilities, often displaying a haughty attitude.

While he doesn’t often defy his accomplished older brother Nozel, or his sister Nebra, he mocks his sister Noelle, who he refers to as a “failure”, with a mean-spirited demeanor.

Nebra Silva

The eldest daughter of the Silva family.
As the sister of Nozel, the captain of the “Silver Eagles Squad”, and the older sister of Noelle, she possesses a strong and malicious personality.

She openly belittles and hurts her younger sister Noelle, who struggles with controlling her magic.
She shows no mercy even towards her enemies, often manipulating them unnecessarily with her adept mist magic and skillful illusions.

Crimson Lion Kings:

Fuegoleon Vermillion

As the eldest son of the Vermillion family, he possesses personality traits that highlight his righteousness and leadership.
Regardless less of status, he thinks highly of those who seek to improve themselves.
He respects and thinks fondly of his younger brother Leopold, to whom he has become an object of admiration.

Leopold Vermillion

The younger brother of the captain of the “Crimson Lion Kings” Fuegoleon.
He looks up to him and has just as much vigor as his older brother.

Perhaps due to being doted on by his significantly older siblings, he possesses an innocent and confident demeanor.
He is drawn to Asta, who is fearless and unwavering in his enthusiasm despite lacking magical powers.

They make a promise to each other to become “rivals” and spur each other on.
His family and friends will also call him “Leo”.

Blue Rose Knights:

Charlotte Roselei

The leader of the “Blue Rose Knights”, which is mostly comprised of women, possesses both beauty and strength.
She only has romantic feelings for Yami, who lifted the curse that was placed upon her.
However, she struggles to express her emotions and has missed opportunities to convey her feelings.

Sol Marron

An energetic girl with a free and bold spirit. She refers to Charlotte, the captain of the “Blue Rose Knights”, as “sis” and follows her everywhere. She excels in the use of “Earth Magic” and possesses considerable skill as a Magic Knight.

Green Praying Mantises

Jack The Ripper

The captain who is a commoner, he loves to shred things apart using his Severing Magic.
He desires to shred worthy opponents.

Sekke Bronzazza

A fellow rookie that Asta and Yuno met during the Magic Knights Entrance Exam.
He uses Bronze Magic that can be used as both his offense and defense.

He has a cunning and boastful personality, often laughing with a forced “Fuhaha” laugh.
However, he also showed kindness and a helpful nature by reaching out to Asta, who was bewildered during the entrance exam, offering advice and guidance.

Aqua Deer:

Rill Boismortier

The youngest captain currently in the Magic Knights, carrying a bright personality, but quite odd.
Not a fan of serious atmospheres, and has a keen eye for catching details.

When the mood becomes serious, he will often attempt to change the room’s atmosphere by imitating the facial expressions of other captains.

The Eye of The Midnight Sun:

Heath Grice

A mysterious mage who uses Ice Magic and encounters Asta and Noelle during their first mission in Hage Village.
He believes in “punctuality” and hates wasting time.

He calls those with weak magical powers an “inferior species” and is willing to eliminate them.
He has a strong loyalty to the mysterious person he calls “that guy”

Rades Spirito

One of the members of a group that suddenly attacked the capital city of the Clover Kingdom.
With his enormous power he wields Wraith Magic to control corpses.
He overestimates his power and has a grudge against both the Clover Kingdom and the Magic Knights.

Catherine

A witch of the Eye of the Midnight Sun.
She revitalizes her own body by absorbing mana from others.

This retains a beauty that is far removed from her actual age.
Sensitive to slander over her age and appearance, she curses any with indignation.

Valtos

Member of the group that attacked The Clover Kingdom’s Royal Capital who uses “Spatial Magic.”
He is a calm strategist and uses his magic to adapt to every situation, even simultaneously moving masses of people far away or a single enemy to their destination.

Sally

A mad scientist who is obsessed with experimenting.
She must study what she gets her hands on.

Using her “Gel Magic” and “Dark Magic Items,” she can increase her own, and others’, magic power.
She formed an obsession about experimenting on Asta due to his mastery of the “Anti-Magic” sword despite his complete lack of magical power.

Geork

A mage of the Eye of the Midnight Sun who was captured by the Wizard King.
His loyalty towards Licht is undeniable.
Therefore he hid the information before Asta broke the protection magic of his memory.

The Clover Kingdom

Sister Lily

A sister at the church where Asta and Yuno were raised. She is young, beautiful, and reliable.
She is Asta’s love interest and a caring older sister figure to the children at the church.
Although Asta has proposed to her multiple times, she is torn because she is a clergy serving God and takes her role seriously.

Salim de Hapshass

The heir of the prestigious Hapshass Family.
He had great confidence in his own magic as a noble, but his pride was shattered by Yuno’s wind magic in a spectacular way.

Revchi Salik

A former member of the Magic Knight Squad “The Purple Orcas”.
Two years ago, he suffered a severe injury during a mission and was discharged from the squad.
He fell into thievery and attacked Yuno, but was defeated by Asta and is currently imprisoned.

Marx Francois

The Wizard King’s right-hand man.
He uses his memory exchange magic to gather intel that makes up for the Wizard King’s lack of interest in non-magic activities.
Though alwys at the beck and call of the king and Wizard King, he performs his duties impeccably.

The Diamond Kingdom:

Mars

A magic warrior known as the “Secret Weapon of the Diamond Kingdom”.
These Mages can unleash powerful magic without using a “Grimoire” and possess an immense amount of magical power.

By embedding special “gems” within their body, they are enhanced to unleash even stronger magic.
They can wield two completely different “attributes” of magic, which is highly unusual.
Blessed with talent as a mage from a young age, they honed their skills at a special facility in the kingdom alongside other children.

Lotus Whomalt

A Diamond Kingdom mage. He is known by the Clover Kingdom as “Lotus of the Abyss”.
Even the current Wizard King, Julius Novachrono, recognizes him as a battle-hardened warrior.

He loves his wife and daughter dearly, and although he may not look like it, he is a trusted mage within the Diamond Kingdom, known for his crafty tactics in battle.
